Evolution of a young woman

Someone needs to tell Maile to slow down because I don't know if I can ever accept how quickly she is growing. This is evident when I see Maile side-by-side with her month old cousin, Audrey. It doesn't feel like it was that long ago that Maile was her age.

Now, Maile is getting her toes painted, wears Mindy's shoes as she struts around the room, talks on the phone, uses both the computer and the mouse, and knows how to utilize her eyes and smile effectively in order to get what she wants.

Try as they may, parents can never be fully ready for this. As much as we try to stunt her growth by holding her tightly so she can never escape us, she pushes us away so she can do what she wants when she wants. With those eyes...

Can Maile and I go and get our nails done when I visit in April?
