I apologize that as I write this, no pictures will be posted because I haven't uploaded them but Maile's second Christmas went smoothly and was quite enjoyable!
On Christmas eve, Mindy's family came over and Maile got to open up quite a few presents. For those who don't know, Maile is quite the neat freak, which clearly came from Mindy's side. When Maile opened her first present, she ripped off a piece of the wrapping paper. She then took that piece of wrapping paper and ran it to the kitchen trash can about 20 feet away, came back, ripped off another piece of that wrapping paper, ran to the kitchen trash can again, came back, and did so again at least three more times. Maile didn't pay attention to Grandma, who was standing next to her with the black trash bag. We are proud that Maile is able to associate trash and knowing where it belongs, even if it did require a lot of running on her part.
Santa, family, and friends were all very good to Maile this year! Maile got a tent to play in, a keyboard, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys, handbags, a rocking horse, books, an inchworm, a realistic toy kitty that scares me, two vacuums, some DVDs, cute clothing, and much, much more!
Thanks to all those who have been good to Maile not only this Christmas but throughout the year!
