Maile see, Maile do

We have come to understand how important it is for us to watch what we say, do, and react as Maile continues to grow.

It is pretty clear that Maile aspires to be her mother. In the morning, Maile will brush her the same way Mindy does (head dipped to the side while brushing). Maile might also pull empty eye drop bottles out of the trash can and pretend she's putting some in her eyes. She also is notorious for grabbing Mindy's shoes and putting them on her feet as she strolls around wearing Mommy's shoes. Maile has also become an addict of chapstick, constantly saying "I want some."

Poor Maile also tries to be like her Daddy in some ways. She'll grab his hats from the closet and put it on, she'll pretend she's putting on deodorant, she'll touch the credit cards multiple times in the wallet before putting it away, she'll grab her computer when Daddy's on the computer, as evidenced by the picture above.

It is also a good thing that we have always been careful of what we say. In fact, as an inspiration to writing this blog, minutes ago, Maile almost fell off the couch with a blanket over her head and sighed "oh geez".

We have come to realize the importance of our roles in Maile's life as she constantly watches us for examples on how to be a functioning human being. Oh geez.
